Toilet Paper Roll Rocket

I found this project here along with 14 other fun projects to make using recycled toilet paper rolls.  Davin loved making the rocket, it was easy and not too messy.  You could even add some glitter or stickers to it to for something a little different, enjoy!

Alligator Color Matching Game

Materials Needed:

5-10 Paint Sample Cards (Lowes, Home Depot or Walmart has them, they're free)

Hot Glue Gun and Glue Sticks

5-10  Wooden Clothespins

Sharpie Marker

Scissors (I used a paper trimmer)

Directions:

1.  Cut one small square (small enough to glue on top of the clothespin) and one larger square from each sample.

2.  Draw "eyes" on the clothespin.

3.  Hot glue the small squares onto the clothespins.

How to Play:

1.  The alligator "chomps" the color that matches the one on his head, that simple!

Milk Art

What You Need:
Food Dye
Milk (about a cup)
Pie Pan or Something Similar
Liquid Dish Soap
Toothpicks


Directions

1.  Pour the milk into the pie pan.

2.  Now go ahead and drop some of the food coloring into the milk,  put little dots all over the place, whatever you want.

3.  Take the dish soap and add little drops of it over top of the food coloring.  This is such a neat step, the food coloring will just "shoot" around in the pan.  Add as much coloring as you want, we gradually added quite a bit.

4.  Use your toothpics to make swirls in the pan.

Paper Plate Maracas

What You Need:

A Paper Plate

Stapler

Sticker and/or Crayons

Rice or Beans

Directions:

1. Pour about a half a cup of rice or beans onto your paper plate. 

2. Fold the paper plate in half, then staple the edges all the way around.

3. Now it's time to decorate your maracas, you can use stickers, crayons, markers or anything else you can think of.

Fruit Loop Necklace

My Son really loved making this necklace and enjoyed eating it even more!

What You Need:

Stretchy Jewelry Cord

Scissors

Fruit Loops (or candy)

1 Clothespins or Small Chip Clip

Directions:

1.  Cut your string to fit around your childs neck, remember to leave room to tie it.  Attach a clothespin at one end of the cord so that the fruit loops do not fall off, then let your child put all of the fruit loops or candy on. 

2.  After the necklace is mostly filled, go ahead and tie it.  I just took the two ends, put them side by side, wrapped them around my first and middle finger, then carefully eased the loop off of my fingers and stuck the ends through the loop then pulled, nothing fancy.  

Bath Time Squirt Gun Paint

My Son loves this so much!  You buy a pack of little, cheap squirt guns, I paid $1 for the 3 pack that my Son has.  I filled each little bottle up and put in 1 to 2 drops of food coloring in each.  I recommend this activity for kids 3 and over since smaller kids probably won't spray them just in the bath tub.  I put my Son, Davin, at one end of the tub and he would shoot the bath tub wall at the other end with all 3 different colors.  This is a great way to get your kids into the bath tub easily because they will want to go have a blast painting the shower wall.  Afterwards, just spray all of the color off and you're done, easy as that :)!  I also recommend having a shower head that is detachable so you can maneuver it around to spray off all the shower walls because it will most likely get on the inside wall too.
